MANTIS Festival

MANTIS (Manchester Theatre in Sound) presents a weekend of 4 electroacoustic concerts featuring composers based at the NOVARS Research Centre, guest artists John Young (curating a full concert of his works), Andy Lewis (premiering his new audio-visual work Lexicon, sponsored by the Wellcome Trust) and Barry Truax (premiering new works in a concert marking the centenary of computing pioneer Alan Turing, supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, Manchester Science Festival and the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester).  The festival features the MANTIS large-scale sound diffusion system for an exciting and immersive listening experience.
